Hello!
Mark D.C. here again! I’m back at work after a short break, and ready to go again this month!
To recap last month, on the Twitch Stream we changed it up and looked at a non-traditional dungeon crawl RPG system. We looked at how Lore Link could be used to build out an adventure in FFG’s (now EDGE) Legend of the Five Rings (L5R) 5th Edition game. Storytelling Games like L5R are intended to change up the way a GM looks at the game. Rather than shepherding the players through a series of places (rooms in a dungeon or a castle for example), GMs are encouraged to let the players experience their world through a series of events occurring in it, such as whispered secrets in a back room, political machinations at court, or tea ceremonies with ghostly ancestors. Lore Link can handle this by allowing you to build out your campaign as a series of Events, then place those events on a Timeline. The Timeline, much like our Location system, gives GMs a way to view, organize, and navigates all of their events, making planning style of game efficient and easy.
If you want to see me tackle a different storytelling game in a system appropriate for the current spooky season, catch the VOD of this Tuesday’s stream on our YouTube channel and catch the Lore Link team try their hand at the game on October 24th on our Twitch Channel!
In other news, our new Lore Link website is coming along great, thanks to help from our resident web development wizards here at Andromeda. You’ll be seeing that go live probably before the next newsletter hits your inbox, so keep checking www.lorelink.com. Here’s a sneak peak of how that’ll look when it goes live:

As for Lore Link itself, I’ll be heading back to the coding mines and building out more features. The new website will even have a section for you to vote on what features you think are important and should be added next. So, if you want to give feedback on the future of Lore Link you’ll now have two ways to do it in the future! You can sign up for the Alpha and give us direct feedback on our existing features, and be able to view the roadmap on the website and give feedback on features coming in the future!
So, I’m off! May the scary things in your horror games be the monsters and not your dice rolls!
