Lore Link Lore Link

Hello all, Mark Della-Croce here with another Lore Link Newsletter. Continuing the Trend of 2026, we’re excited to talk about awesome streams, cool new features, and exciting announcements!

First of all, I have to apologize to you, dear newsletter readers. I’ve been unintentionally keeping a secret from you. We have a section on our website dedicated to what Lore Link is doing in the community. It’s for things like sponsorships, streams, panels, etc… It’s right here, in fact. And, well, if you look on that page, near the bottom, you’ll see conventions:

Yeah, it’s been just sitting there for a while. Oops!

You might notice something on there. Yeah, I’ve forgotten to mention for the last SEVERAL MONTHS that we’re confirmed for a booth at Gen Con! A big-time, inside-the-Exhibit Hall-type booth! We’ll be in one of the more exciting spaces within the Exhibit Hall: Entrepreneur’s Alley, where people go to get their first look at awesome new and upcoming products. We are super excited to be there, and super excited to see you there! We here at Lore Link are looking forward to that, as well as returning to Origins in June, as well. Plus, we might have some exciting surprises to reveal there as well, so make sure to stop by if you’re at the con!

So what’s been keeping me from talking about Gen Con? Well, some of that are our awesome new features that we’ve been working on adding to Lore Link in the past several months. Just last month we released Encounters, allowing GMs to organize combat or social showdowns in one place. But we’re not stopping there; we’re currently in the process of adding another feature for our Galaxy Tier and above subscribers: the ability to add new Categories and rename existing Categories, to give you the ability to theme your campaigns more in line with how you think about them. Is “Transportation” too vague for your Star Trek campaign? Switch it to Starships, and maybe add “Shuttle Craft” or “Ground Vehicles” to your Categories. Juggling a lot of different Villains in your Campaign? Add a Category for every evil group scheming against your players. Want an aura of grand political strategy for your game? Rename Locations to Kingdoms for a more epic feel! These changes will be visible not only to you, but also to your players if you use Lore Link’s Player Sharing option. Oh, and speaking of Player Sharing, you’ll even be able to conceal entire categories from your players if you don’t want them to know everything that’s going on behind the scenes, or that their Western game is actually full of Westwood-style robots! Keep an eye out here, and in your Notifications, for more information on when that feature is going live!

Also going amazingly well is our Indie Creator series over on Twitch. We’ve been chatting and playing with some incredibly creative writers and creators of some cool new indie games we think you should check out. Last month Mike talked with Joe Jones-Vermillion about his Sci-Fi Horror TTRPG inspired by The Odyssey: The Wine Dark Sea. He and Mike delved deep into what makes a Horror TTRPG work. The Lore Link players got back together to wreck some havoc in mechs, with Alex Rinehart running us through an alien “IKEA” in Cyberrats in Space! Finally, our own legendary designer and artist Martine Dowden stepped in to the hosting seat for Dan Walter’s TTRPG with a twist that’s near and dear to her heart: baking! StoryBake is a TTRPG about the magic of baking, the power of friendship, and finding wonder in the world. Come for a great discussion on non-violent TTRPGs, stay for the baking tips!

Screen capture of the Cyberrats in Space live-stream. In the top left is the game's logo, the top right is images of the players and host. Bottom left is the chat box, and the majority of the center and bottom right is a screen share showing two mechs from the game. One is shaped like a squatting frog, the other looks like a cassette deck with a DJ turntable on one of their arms.

The mechs of Cyberrats of Space have such great character.

There’s plenty more excitement to come! We’ve got a wide variety of streams in the coming weeks, from Twenty joining us for more RPG-themed video games, Mike and I will take on Battlemarked, the D&D version of channel favorite Demeo, and lastly, we’ll be back with another Indie Creator game: Spindlewheel! Come along for these streams and more by following our Twitch channel and/or subscribing to us on YouTube.

Well, that’s a ton of information, so I’ll let you have some time to process all of it. As for me, as of writing this newsletter, I’m still recovering from DST, so I’m going to try and find enough focus to get back to work. Until next time, may your players spring ahead, not fall back.
