Hello all, Mark Della-Croce with another Lore Link newsletter. We’ve got streams, feature updates, and bug fixes!
First, a bug fix update! A recent Lore Link update caused issues with many browsers, causing data to be shown in the traditional lists throughout the applications. This affected Firefox, Safari, and iOS browsers. The dev team put their heads together, managed to quickly track down the issue, and restore functionality within a short time period (thanks to a great catch by our UI/UX specialist Martine)! you should be fully functional no matter your platform or browser of choice! Additionally, I want to thank the users who reported the issue to us, allowing us to quickly track down the affected browsers and get a solution out. Remember, if you run into any issues with Lore Link, please let us know either through our Discord or through our feedback form in the application!
Next, we have a feature update! As talked about last month, Edit Categories is now live for users at Galaxy tier and above! This feature gives you the ability to customize the names of your categories in your campaigns, or add additional categories to better organize all the moving parts your campaign might have. For example, on his recent Dune TTRPG stream, Mike used this feature to add a category for Factions, a key part of Dune’s ever-present political intrigue. You can find more info on how to use this feature on the Categories help page. Additionally, we’re still working on even more cool feature updates; one that I can spoil for now is that Player Sharing will be updated and cleaned up. Expect to see cool features like the ability for GMs to use Player Sharing to assign players’ character sheets to them for their own editing needs!

Speaking of streams, we haven’t slowed down on that front either! Since the last newsletter, Twenty took us through Marvel’s Midnight Suns (a neat card base
d XCOM-style game!), while Mike and I returned to the Spire with Slay the Spire 2 (now with co-op gameplay!). Even better, Twenty and I got a chance to continue our Indie Creator series and experience Sasha Reneau’s unique Tarot based storytelling game Spindlewheel. All of us had a great time building and solving the tragic murder of an up-and-coming CEO using Spindlewheel’s tarot-based prompt system. Finally, just this week, Twenty continued exploring Marvel’s Midnight Suns; she was keen to know what happened next in the fight against Lilith.

Coming up, we’ve got a super exciting entry in the Indie Creator series. On April 21st we are going to have a panel discussion with three creators of small TTRPGs: Zachary Elliott-Hatton of Minimal Impact, Valery North of Finding Styles, and CJ Tucker of Goodbye, World </3 ! Come find out why that next awesome TTRPG you’re looking for doesn’t have to be a complicated, expensive one (and maybe you can escape from behind the GM screen!). Finally, on April 28th, I’m going to try and break the curse regarding Western TTRPGs and talk about how your players can ride out in the West (as well as the pitfalls to watch out for!) I’ve tried to host this stream twice before, and each time something has happened to delay or cancel it. We’ll see how our luck holds this time!

Alright, with that out of the way, I’m back to work on features, bugs, and other exciting things. Till next time, may your April plot plantings bring forth beautiful schemes for your players!
