Mark Della-Croce, Lore Link Product Lead

Happy Holidays from Mark Della-Croce, Lore Link Product Lead! As temperatures drop in our neck of the woods, let’s discuss how the Lore Link team stays active and keeps warm!

First, our Twitch channel has been busy with me and the team trying out new and old games for planning and playing! Mike has been heads down with his ongoing Quest for the Frozen Flame Pathfinder 2E adventure, with two different streams highlighting that in the past month. To see how Lore Link works with a long-term adventure, check out this YouTube playlist to watch the campaign develop over time. And for a change of pace, just this week, Mike looked at one of his wish list games to run: The One Ring. November saw me focusing on another giant of British Fantasy in roleplaying game form: the upcoming adventure-comedy TTRPG from Modiphus: Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork! I sat down and reviewed its unique mechanic light and narrative-focused gameplay. I also talked about how to plan through a more narrative-focused game using Lore Link. Lastly, the Lore Link players took on a villainous dragon thief as members of the Night Watch in the “Up in Smoke” quick-start adventure. Check out all those videos on our YouTube channel or our Discworld system example page!

The rest of December will be quiet on the streaming front as our usual Tuesday night streams will collide with Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, so we will go dark for the rest of the year. That allows the team to spend time with their friends, family, and loved ones. But before going dark, we did one last thing to help you get in the true spirit of the holidays and fight all the commercialism and capitalism taking hold. That’s right, this past Tuesday, we took a look at at how to run a Cyberpunk RED game through Lore Link and spread some genuine holiday cheer! So if you missed that on Twitch, you can catch that on YouTube (yes, I am aware of the irony)!

Look! We decorated for the holidays!

Cool feature alert! We don’t just market Lore Link; we use it in our week-to-week playing sessions. As such, Mike discovered that the selection system for linking Lore got messy for larger-scale projects (like his amazing Quest for the Frozen Flame campaign we discussed previously) and requested a better way of doing so. We sat down and talked through what was needed, and we’re proud to present the first take on a new way of linking Lore. The Triggers system is the first to get this new selection system, so try it out, give us some feedback, and look forward to seeing that improvement spread throughout the rest of the system!

Typeahead AND Lore filtering!

We’ve got even bigger and better things planned for the upcoming month and year, so don’t worry; Lore Link is not going into hibernation. We’ll be back next month with a summary of what we accomplished in 2024 and all the exciting things we have planned for 2025!

‘Til then, may all your dice end up on the nice list!

P.S. You can give your GM the gift of time-saving by letting them know about Lore Link’s World Account Sign Up. It’s even free!
