Lore Link Lore Link

Hey all, Mark Della-Croce here once again to talk about Lore Link. We’ve just recovered from Origins in time to get prepped for Gen Con, so let’s get this rolling.

First of all, congratulations to all our newsletter contest winners! We gave out seven six-month Lore Link subscriptions and three one-year subscriptions!

Our Twitch streams got more varied in the last several weeks with Mike stepping in to continue his series on Pendragon, in particular looking at how to run a solo campaign with the newest edition. After that, Mark and Mike combined forces to try and finish out their second campaign in Demeo, running into a brutal boss fight to close out the session. It comes down to the wire… you’ll have to watch the video over on our YouTube channel to see how it ends! To finish up the month, Mark took a look at Dragonbane, a self-described “Mirth and Mayhem” game system, where he looked at how he’d use the Location and Map system to plot out a Dungeon Crawl. Then, last week, Mark played the classic Ravenloft: Strahd’s Possession, where he got to relive the glory days of Old School Hard PC games as he was murdered by assassins, bandits, wargs, and uh, goblyns?

The lightning spell in Demeo can produce some stunning results!

Coming up today, July 30th, on our Twitch stream, twenty20sight (one of our wonderful moderators and an excellent streamer in her own right) will be taking over while the Indianapolis team will be wrapping up Gen Con prep. She’ll be playing something TTRPG related, so tune in to catch that. After that, we’ll have some great streams discussing things we found at Gen Con and talking about some exciting things for Lore Link going forward!

As we’ve mentioned several times previously, Gen Con is almost here! It runs from August 1st through August 4th in Indianapolis, is described as the “Best Four Days in Gaming” and covers everything from Board Games to Tabletop Games, and Lore Link will be there! We’ll be back again in the Maker’s Market which is located between the Indianapolis Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium, just past the turn off for the Block Party. If you come and visit us at booth 7104, we will have awesome giveaways. Show off that you’ve signed up for a free World tier Lore Link account, or show us a campaign you’ve created in your account, to get some free swag from our awesome collection of pins, time-out chairs and dice!

Wait…did I say register for a free World tier account? Yep! Here’s the really exciting news: Lore Link is beginning to exit Early Access! We’re going to slowly start introducing the different tiers as features are wrapped up and ready for the public, and we’re starting THURSDAY (August 1st)! Sign-ups are now open for users to be able to get access to our free World tier. As we finalize more features, the higher-level paid tiers will become available. More information about pricing can be found here, and you can click here to sign up for a free account! If you’ve created an account in the past but didn’t have an access code, watch your inbox for a message updating your account, arriving after Gen Con. If you’re part of the Kickstarter, you’re all good; we haven’t exited Early Access for the paid tiers, so your 1-year free membership hasn’t started yet. Plus, we’ll have some cool new features coming out exclusively for you soon!

Now getting access to Lore Link is just as simple as creating a new account!

Wow. That feels really awesome to be able to say, and thanks to the whole team for their hard work on getting us to this point, as well as for all the feedback and comments we’ve gotten from you the users over the last year. Once again, if you happen to be at Gen Con, please stop by and say hi - we’d love to see you! Until then, I’ve got so much to do, and so few hours to do it in, so I’m going to get back to work.

May your favorite TTRPG system release an exciting new update for you soon!
