What's Going On? - July 2026

Taken from high up within the castle of Haut-Koenigsbourg, this photo captures some of the magnitude of the castle, with its many towers, sturdy walls, peaked roofs, and open windows look out over the valley between the Vosges and the Black Forest. Many small towns and expanses of forest are visible below.

Welcome to July, everyone! To kick everything off, I would like to thank everyone who dropped by our booth at Origins a few weeks ago! We talked to a lot of great people, some of whom had been checking in with us ever since our first show in 2023. We were able to answer questions, show off our software, and pick up some cool games and dice in the process.

At the end of July, we’ll be at our next convention, Gen Con! This is our first year in the vendor hall, after being in the Maker’s Market in 2023 and 2024. We’ll be located in Entrepreneurs Avenue at booth 2862, showing off and signing people up for Lore Link. In addition, we’ll be talking with people about our Indie Creator Series over on Twitch, signing folks up for our newsletter, giving out Gamemaster badge ribbons, and we might even have a few new things to talk about! So if you’re in the area, drop in and say hi!

Now, we’ve got a lot to talk about this month, so let’s roll right into it.

Conventions

This is a list of conventions where at least part of the convention is devoted to tabletop role-playing games. This list is for informational purposes only. We don’t endorse any of these shows. They’re just ones that fit the bill after looking through Tabletop Events, FanCons, and using some different searches for gaming conventions.

Do you have a convention that you feel should be listed here, but it isn’t? Please email me with the dates, website, and location, and I can edit it in. Also, if you’re running a convention and want to make it easier for folks like me who like telling people about these things, please make sure your Tabletop Events page says what kind of event it is. You get bonus points for having an actual website, not just a Facebook page, and please - for Pete’s sake - don’t have the “Website” link on Tabletop Events circle back around to your Tabletop Events page!

Upcoming Conventions for Lore Link

As a reminder, you can always see where we’re going to pop up next on the website at https://lorelink.com/community

Friends of Lore Link - Crowdfunding

As you might have noticed, many of our Indie Creator Series guests are either in the midst of crowdfunding their amazing games, or getting ready to start crowdfunding. Let’s see whose campaign is either currently running, or starting this month!

  • Gallerie: Queer Stories of Beauty, Horror, & Hope
    • Ends on July 4th, 2026
    • From their landing page - “Gallerie is a queer-focused TTRPG about self-actualization that employs art and dream elements to paint narratives about redefining oneself and fighting one’s demons. It’s about community, cooperation, unabashed self-love, facing hard memories, nightmarish enemies, systemic oppression, and the beauty of embracing what you know to be true but have been taught to ignore.”
    • Previous appearance - Weapons Grade Funk Blog Post
  • The Magic of Inventorying - Late Pledges
    • Fully funded on Kickstarter, but rewards are still available as Late Pledges
    • From their Kickstarter - “Are you an adventurer with a strong desire to declutter your loot? Magic of Inventorying is a punchy storytelling game for 3 to 6 players, designed to be played in a few hours with polyhedral dice, no GM, and ZERO preparation.”
    • Previous appearance - The Magic of Inventorying Blog Post
  • Cyberrats in Space
    • Ends on July 19th.
    • I just have one thing to say about this. There are some really cool, funky mechs being designed for this game, and that alone has me interested.

That should do it for this month. I’m getting back to work! I’ve still got some video from Origins I need to upload, I’ve got Indie Creator Series posts to write, and of course I have Gen Con to prepare for!

Remember, you can always find us talking games over on Bluesky, streaming on Twitch every Tuesday, sending out our newsletter every month, and posting our streams over on YouTube.

If you’ve read this far, I appreciate you! Feel free to comment with something you’re looking forward to being released at Gen Con, to let the folks in charge know you’re reading this! Remember, take good care of yourselves, and each other, and I’ll see you around!
